~ Easter Legends Tie it All Together

While sitting in the lovely lobby of a prestigious inn and enjoying a cup of tea with a friend last weekend, I overheard a woman at a nearby table declare that she thought Easter should be separated into two days. She thought one day should be in recognition of the religious connotation and the other for the whimsical bunny and eggs celebration. I thought she had a good point, as the two concepts we associate with Easter really seem as disparate as two notions could possibly be. So, I thought I’d try to find a few commonalities between the two, just to help maintain the status quo on the calendar’s delivery of one Easter Sunday per year.

As it turns out (and thanks to Wikipedia), my research unearthed interesting Easter legends that seem to tie it all together in more ways than one…

Good Friday, and Happy Easter to all!
